Paralives Day 0 Patch Notes: Restaurants, Collectibles, Bug Fixes, and 2026 Roadmap
Early access for Paralives starts in just a few hours — on May 25. But the developers decided not to wait and released a "zero" patch right before the release. This small but very important update fixes dozens of bugs noticed by journalists and content creators over the past few days, and polishes many small details. Although much is still missing from the game, this Day 0 patch makes the first step into Melino much more comfortable. Let's take a look at what has changed.
Earlier, we already covered the Paralives gameplay trailer, build mode, and also wrote about the 2026 roadmap.
What Changed Before the Paralives Release?
The update does not add new mechanics, but eliminates many minor shortcomings that could have spoiled the first impression. Here are the most notable improvements and fixes.
Improvements
Restaurants are partially working. All five restaurants in the city of Melino now sell food at the counter. They promise that in the future you will be able to order food directly at the table.
Collecting has become meaningful. All collectible items (mushrooms, gems, and artifacts) now have a price that depends on their rarity.
Rare items have become slightly more accessible. The chance of finding a rare mushroom, gem, or artifact has been slightly increased.
Caring for players' health. An option has appeared in the accessibility menu that allows you to reduce the intensity of foliage animation (trees, grass, flowers) to reduce potential motion sickness.
Convenient inventory. Interactive items can now be directly added to the inventory from the interaction menu in Live Mode (previously this could only be done in Build Mode).
Bug Fixes
Parafolk no longer refuse to sleep on lounge chairs when they are very tired. Also fixed an issue where characters could not reach home when selecting the "Go Home" action on some lots, and they will no longer go outside after using the toilet.
Important life events: Fixed a bug where characters sometimes could not correctly perform important interactions such as "First Kiss," "First Intimacy," and "Try for Baby."
Now when a Parafolk cries in the shower, their hygiene meter increases.
Negative points in tooltips are now displayed in red instead of green.
Cosmetic fixes: In Paramaker, canceling the selection of a preset eyebrow shape has been fixed. The train ticket name now correctly shows the destination "To Melino."
Quest fixes: You can now correctly "Kick the shiitake mushroom" and pick up trash for the "Clean the Beach" and "Foreign Trash" quests.
Sound and translations: The volume of some ambient sounds has been balanced, and various missing localized texts and descriptions of some households that displayed in English even when playing in other languages have been fixed.
Paralives Early Access Roadmap
The Paralives developers continue to work on the game. In the coming months, new updates will add content and improve performance. The developers shared the roadmap in their Discord and in a Patreon post:
The game releases on May 25, 2026, and from June to September 2026, bug fixes are planned, including:
- Performance optimization
- Bug fixes
- Refinements to existing features
- Quality of life improvements
Over the two years that the game will be in early access, free updates are planned. The first major update is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. Later, the developers promise to add weather and seasons, pools, pets, and much more.
For now, let's enjoy the first steps into the open world of Melino.
