New Sims 4 Marketplace Set: Sophie Set by SolunaRae – Review, Price, and Contents
The Sims 4 Marketplace has received another update. On August 17, a new set appeared in the catalog from a previously unknown creator — SolunaRae. The set, named "Sophie", includes 13 Build/Buy items for decorating a bedroom in a "cozy cottage" style. The set costs 300 Moola (about $3 USD).
Earlier, we wrote about previous free sets in the Marketplace, as well as brand collaborations.
What's Included in the Sophie Set for The Sims 4?
The Sophie Set is dedicated to creating a bedroom with the atmosphere of a "cozy home full of character." As the description says, "every cherished home tells a story, one little detail at a time." The set's style is inspired by rustic cottages and handmade items.
The set includes 13 Build/Buy items that will help you furnish a bedroom, create a cozy reading corner, and add warm, "homely" details to the interior.
Main items:
- Bedroom furniture (bed, nightstands, dresser)
- Cozy reading chair
- Handcrafted bookshelf
- Wooden room divider for creating a private nook
- Decor with heart and floral motifs
- Knitted and textile accessories
All items are available in several color options: from soft pastel tones to rich greens and warm red shades.
Price and Availability of the Set on The Sims 4 Marketplace
The Sophie Set costs 300 Moola, which is approximately $3 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency). It can only be purchased through the Marketplace — both in-game and via the Marketplace's online page.
Community Reaction to the Sophie Set in The Sims 4?
In the comments on the Sims Community news post, opinions were divided. The user who left the first comment noted:
"Would be cute if it was maxis match. This is clearly alpha."
This comment reflects the ongoing debate in the community about custom content styles. Some players prefer "Maxis Match" — content that stylistically matches the original game. Others like "alpha content" with more realistic textures. Judging by the screenshots, the Sophie Set is made in a more realistic, detailed style, which may not appeal to fans of The Sims 4's cartoon aesthetic.
Is It Worth Buying the Set on the Marketplace?
The Sophie Set is a good choice for those who love rustic style, cozy interiors, and want to add more handmade items and decor with "history" to their game. However, as with any content from the Marketplace, it's worth remembering its features:
- The quality and style may not match the official Maxis content.
- Buying on the Marketplace supports the creator, but only 30% of the amount goes to the author (the rest is taken by the platform).
If you like rustic aesthetics and don't mind alpha style, the set could be a nice addition to your collection. If you prefer Maxis Match or are fundamentally against using the Marketplace, you should probably skip it.
