On July 28, 2026, a new free promotion launched in The Sims 4 Marketplace – a collaboration with the American fashion house Coach. The Coach RePurposed Capsule Collection is available for free to all players on PC, Mac, and consoles until October 28, 2026. The set includes several clothing items in a "sustainable fashion" style, inspired by back-to-school themes and recycled materials. But, as often happens with free sets, players have already noticed a few quirks.

What Is the Coach RePurposed Capsule Collection?

This is a joint project between EA, Maxis, and the American fashion brand Coach. The collection is dedicated to "sustainable fashion" – the idea of recycling and reusing materials. The collection is inspired by the brand's real-life (Re)Loved line, which focuses on reducing waste in the design and production process.

The name of the set, RePurposed Capsule, emphasizes the concept of "reimagining" everyday wardrobe items. The description reads:

"The RePurposed Capsule marks a new season of stories carried forward. Designed with back-to-school in mind, the collection reimagines everyday wardrobe icons through the lens of Coach craftsmanship. Select designs reflect physical pieces that have been crafted from pre-loved, post-consumer materials, celebrating the character, texture, and history of what came before, while others introduce new silhouettes for the season ahead."

What's Inside the Set?

The set includes 4 unique clothing items, although the Marketplace interface shows 6 items – this is because some items are unisex and are displayed twice.

Set contents:

Coat with jeans – a full-body outfit combining a trench coat and jeans. Available in several colors, including variations with English and Simlish text.

Cardigan – a versatile piece for cool weather. Also available with text in two languages.

Sweater – another cozy item with text variations.

Skirt – a separate item that can be combined with other pieces.

All items are designed in an "American classic" style with elements of school fashion.

Important Quirks and Limitations

Despite the set being free, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Incorrect coat tagging. One of the items – the full-body coat with jeans – has an incorrect tag in the game. It doesn't appear in the "Cold Weather" category, even though it should. To put it on a Sim in winter, you'll need to disable the weather filter in CAS settings.

Item duplication. The Marketplace shows 6 items, but there are actually 4. This is because the cardigan and coat are unisex and are shown twice – for both masculine and feminine frames.

Limited time. The set is available for free only until October 28, 2026. After that date, it will likely become paid or disappear from the Marketplace.

Community Reaction

As with any free giveaway, the set generated interest. However, some players expected more. In the comments on the Sims Community article, one user wrote:

"Oh damn I thought there'd be more to it but it looks like there's just three items, with two of them being gender specific meshes of the same thing to avoid the whole pointy boob issue and whatnot."

Nevertheless, many players appreciated the free collaboration with a well-known brand, especially since past collaborations (like SpongeBob or Moschino) were paid.

How to Get the Set?

The process is simple and takes just a few minutes.

  • Launch The Sims 4 and go to the Marketplace from the main menu.
    • Find the Coach RePurposed Capsule Collection on the main page or in the "Free" section.
      • Click the green "FREE" button, then confirm the action in the pop-up window.

The content will install without needing to restart the game – you can go straight to CAS and try on the new outfits.

The set is definitely worth downloading, if only because it's free. Even if you're not a fan of Coach's style, the items could be useful for creating diverse looks, especially for teens and young adults. And since the promotion is time-limited, it's better to grab the collection now while you can.
