The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack Is Now Available! New Patch Changelog
Yesterday, February 12, 2026, the long-awaited expansion pack The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy was released! Along with it, a base game update became available that fixed minor bugs. In this article, we'll take a detailed look at all the fixes and mods that have been updated for the new patch.

Right after the update was released, the developers shared a trailer showcasing additional details of the expansion pack:
Here they show us the magic mirror again, which a character resembling Lord Farquaad from Shrek interacts with. A coincidence? We think not.
At the same time, Bob Pancakes makes a wish at the well and, by the looks of it, gets what he wished for:
A woman kisses a frog and gets a prince, but with a twist:
All these shots showcase the versatility of the expansion pack, but how things will actually turn out — time will tell.
New Patch Changelog
EA posted the list of base game fixes for patch version 1.121.361 on their official website. Developer's note:

This is a small patch to address a few player-reported issues since our last Base Game update. Thank you so much for your continued reports via the EA Forums!
Bug Fixes
- [EA Forums] Stair railings will no longer be missing on premade lots, Gallery Lots, and player-created lots.
- Resolved an issue where Distant Relative and Distant Relative-In-Law relationship labels were showing up inconsistently.
- Resolved an issue where newly adopted Sims failed to appear in the Family Tree after exceeding a certain number of children.
- The same Sim will no longer show up as a part of different generations in the Family Tree.
