New World in The Sims 4: Ondarion — Complete Map, 18 Lots, and Three Unique Neighborhoods
Electronic Arts has officially unveiled the new world of Ondarion — it will be part of The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy expansion pack. Along with the teaser, the developers showcased the complete world map, the sizes and locations of new lots, and shared details about the unique atmosphere of each of the three kingdom neighborhoods.

EA released an official trailer for the Ondarion world, showcasing all three neighborhoods and their lots. It also features new clothing styles, architecture, and the atmosphere that the "Royalty & Legacy" expansion pack promises to deliver.
In the comments, players expressed a variety of opinions, but one thing was universal: everyone loved the builds, as well as the overall vibe of the neighborhoods. Although they showed fairly little, it was enough for opinions to form about the new town.

The Ondarion world includes three large neighborhoods (kingdoms) and 16 new residential lots. Moreover, two of them are combined lots with two apartments each, which brings the total to 18 residential lots.
Many players also noticed a new crown icon next to the world's name.
Perhaps it will allow you to learn more information about a specific kingdom. But we'll see this in the gameplay trailer, which drops on January 22, 2026. By the way, the trailer's runtime is 3 minutes and 17 seconds, as reported by SimMattically:
Three kingdoms of Ondarion
Each neighborhood in the world is a standalone cultural zone with a unique style, lore, and storytelling opportunities. Here's what the developers say about them.
Verdemar:
This neighborhood is wild, free, and full of contrasts. Here, pirate and aristocratic families coexist peacefully, and practically every noble dynasty has a "pirate" past. This is a place for adventurers and those who want to earn respect through strength or cunning.
Dambele:
The warmest and most welcoming of the three neighborhoods. It's renowned for its vibrant streets, creativity, crafts, and community spirit. It may seem simple on the surface, but in reality, it's one of the wealthiest neighborhoods — the residents just don't like to show off.
Bellacorde:
An elite and luxurious neighborhood where everything is steeped in class and wealth. Beauty, romance, courtly drama — and ever-present gossip: here it's far more dangerous to lose face than anything else. This is where high society intrigues unfold.

Interestingly, some of the lots for the world were created by well-known members of the Sims community. The EA team managed to bring in four talented creators who designed lots that reflect the spirit of each neighborhood:
Plumbob Kingdom (Roko)
Creator of several striking lots, including the Abrantesh estate, the "Renaissance" villa, and the "La Vivace" halls. He drew inspiration from Renaissance architecture and created scenes suitable for society balls and dramatic stories.
Here's what Plumbob Kingdom says about the "La Vivace" halls:
"The first thing that came to mind when I thought about this lot was that classic idea often seen in films, with a dance floor surrounded by mezzanines and, right in front of it, a grand staircase. This was the main scene I imagined everyone would want to see when bringing their Sims to the ball. For the exterior architecture, I aimed to build something characteristic of the eclectic style – a combination of renaissance, classical, neoclassical and Baroque styles with the “Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro” as a major inspiration."
Eva Rotky
A designer who created the Bellacorde Palace and the Verdemar Palace. She aimed to showcase the families' individuality through interior and exterior design, reflecting the different personalities and traditions of the neighborhoods.
Comment from Eva Rotky about the two completely different palaces:
"Both palaces are the homes of very prestigious families who bring a lot of lore into The Sims 4 universe! I definitely wanted to ensure that the different Sims‘ personalities and traits are reflected in their palaces. For example, the Capp household is very materialistic, snobby and likes to feel exclusive which the interiors show by use of heavy gold accents and pompous, decadent furnishings as the head of the family, Tybalt, likes to flaunt his wealth.
The household of the Verdemar Palace, Cordelia and Thiago, couldn’t be further from the Capp‘s. They are adventurous, avid collectors and love the sea. The whole colour palette of the palace is much darker and moodier with heavy accents of teal and blues to reflect the household‘s closeness to the sea. Since Cordelia is a big hoarder of treasures, I’ve included a secret room at the top of the tower filled with only the most expensive treasures!"
Emerald Stories (Linda Zaranyika)
Responsible for the Casa do Corsário, Fisherman's Hut, and the Zanbira Market in Dambele. Her goal is to create the feel of a living, open space with an easy community atmosphere.
"There are six completely different versions of Casa do Corsário. All wildly different and complicated, but I stuck with my final design because I chose subtle chaos rather than the outright havoc I had before. There are a few brown terrain paint marks on the ground, fading out the stone; all the walls are weathered, and the charm comes from the interior. A moody, regal feel with a purposeful, muted grandeur from both the Verdmar and Dambele neighbourhoods."
Studio Gabri (Gabby)
Creator of the Ye Olde Voyager, Sankofa Residence, and Hardcover. Her builds combine modern design with the cultural influences of the neighborhoods, and one of the lots even operates as a library by day and a club by night.
Comment about the Hardcover bar:
"Verdemar, or as I’ve nicknamed “the old sea,” is rich in maritime history. I wanted to ensure that the bar reflected this history in both the exterior and the interior of the build. I wanted the exterior to be a nod to the old and the new, which is represented in the materials and structure. From the exterior, you will see weathered limestone and lush vegetation, deep emerald green windows and doors, along with a sleek, round glass window on the second floor that pays homage to that of modern seafaring navigation equipment. On the interior, as it was once frequented by pirates, I wanted it to feel like an opulent extension of a pirate ship through the rich wood paneled walls, flooring and ceiling materials, and a mix of furnishings and décor. Touches of the deep emerald green, shell motifs and nautical items (scrolls, treasure chest, etc.) throughout both floors of the interior add to the maritime charm."
A few details about Sankofa Manor:
"Dambele, though known for its sense of community, is very luxurious in cultural and environmental elements. To capture the luxury and beauty of the environment and implement it into the Noble residence, I initially started with the fountains in the front of the home as a focal point and worked on the shell of the build around that!
Paired with a neutral limestone, geometric tiles, and columns, I wanted the structure to have a modern, visually interesting shape that had varying heights, half walls, and Dambele-style doors and windows. Think modern opulence with West African influence! The exterior stairs seen from the second floor were also a design decision that I worked through towards the end that added texture and character to the build."

The community's impression of the new town "Ondarion"
After the teaser dropped showing the lots and features of the town, players started sharing their opinions and noticing certain details.
For example, simmer odaphii shared an interesting moment:
There's speculation that the expansion will add the ability to place railings on only one side of a staircase, since the teaser features a build with exactly that mechanic.
Currently, in the game, railings are automatically placed on both sides of stairs, which sometimes really ruins the look of a build if one side is flush against a wall.

And there are plenty of such posts, many Simmers truly appreciated the efforts of the developers and builders from the Sims community who worked hard to make Ondarion special.
But there are also those who aren't happy with the number of lots, pointing to the fact that Windenburg, for instance, has more. Many are also expressing concern about the lack of a fix for the bug, the scandal over which we covered in detail in this article. People simply can't play the game because all photos disappear after saving.
In just a couple of days, the gameplay trailer drops, which will show us even more interesting details. But for now, you can start designing your own castle for your future royal dynasty.
