InZOI Prepares Vacation System, Vehicle Mods, and New Hairstyles – August Update Preview
The InZOI developers continue their weekly updates and are preparing for the August patch. The focus is on the long-awaited vacation system, which will allow Zois to travel with family and friends, rent hotels, and enjoy trips without permanently relocating. The team is also working on vehicle mods, family portraits, voice customization, and fixing hundreds of bugs reported by players.
Earlier, we covered the InZOI June update with active schools and clothing stores in detail, as well as wrote about the roadmap for the second half of 2026.
Vacations and Hotels: Zois Can Finally Take a Break
One of the biggest announcements is the confirmation of a vacation system. Instead of permanently moving to another city, Zois will be able to temporarily travel, rent hotel rooms, and enjoy their time off.
Key features:
Choose travel companions. Players can select who to bring along – family members, friends, or colleagues.
Hotel accommodations. Hotels and motels of various price ranges will appear in cities.
Travel without relocation. Vacations won't require changing your permanent residence.
Specifically, Dowon will get new restaurants and "public accommodations" – likely hotels and motels.
On the vacation island of Cahaya, a central market will be added.
Free Diving and Underwater Exploration
The developers have announced a new swimming system currently in preliminary testing. This is free-diving, which will allow Zois to independently explore the ocean depths.
Unlike regular surface swimming, this feature will allow you to:
Dive underwater and move freely through the ocean.
Explore the underwater world without being tied to story points or quests. Enjoy the views in a completely open environment.
For now, this is only a test version, but judging by the description, it could become an important step toward full underwater gameplay – possibly with collecting, exploration, or even underwater hunting in the future.
Farming: Tedious Actions Will Become Easier
The developers have listened to complaints that farming – especially due to the need to repeat the same actions for every plot – takes too much time and effort. In response, the InZOI team is implementing a key improvement:
Auto‑repeat. If a farming action (such as planting, watering, or harvesting) is performed next to another plot, it will automatically repeat on adjacent plots.
This change won't eliminate farming entirely, but it will significantly reduce the tediousness of routine tasks, allowing players to manage large fields with fewer clicks and more enjoyment.
Vehicle Mods and Customization
The developers have announced a Vehicle Modding feature – players and modders will be able to create and replace any vehicles. This opens up endless customization possibilities, from classic retro cars to futuristic machines.
Family Portraits and Appearance Improvements
The update will add the ability to create family portraits. Also coming:
Two new hairstyles and several new undergarments.
New effects in Build Mode – fireworks and sparklers.
Basements – finally, you'll be able to build underground floors in existing buildings.
Voice Customization and Animation Fixes
The developers are working on custom voices, allowing players to adjust voice parameters for characters.
Additionally, animations are being fixed:
The animation of a child learning about their mother's pregnancy has been changed because "the previous version didn't feel right."
Yoga at low skill levels will now show imperfections – falling over and losing balance.
Zois who lose a chess match will now express anger while staying seated, rather than standing up.
Kjun's Message: Responding to Player Feedback
In his weekly message, posted on YouTube and X, Kjun responded in detail to community feedback. He confirmed that the team is focusing on connecting systems so that personality, emotions, relationships, skills, and autonomy work together, not separately.
"Personality, emotions, relationships, skills, autonomous behavior, group interactions, and school life should not exist as separate systems. They need to connect with each other naturally. Since many of you have continued to raise this point, the inZOI team sees it as a very important task and is preparing development around it."
Key points from the message:
Personalized Behavior
The developers acknowledged that a Zoi's character should more strongly influence their behavior. Even in the same situation, characters with different traits should react differently – changing communication styles, priorities, and emotional expressions.
Fixing Dialogues
A bug was found where conversations occurred too often, and sometimes Zois would initiate negative conversations without apparent reason. The team is reworking dialogue selection logic to make interactions more natural and dependent on context, mood, and accumulated experience.
Autonomous Behavior
Players complained that Zois eat snacks while a family meal is being prepared, or cook new food when leftovers are available. The developers are working on meal rules to make behavior more realistic, but admit this is a challenging task.
School and Teens
After the school update, much feedback came in about schedules, clubs, uniforms, lockers, and prom. The team aims to make school a social hub, not just a place for classes.
Graphics and Optimization
Players want to see true "Ultra" quality on high‑end PCs. The developers are working on improvements to vegetation, lighting, reflections, and DLSS support. Optimization for low‑end systems and high quality for powerful systems will be separated.
The City as a Living Space
The team strives to make cities not just beautiful backdrops, but places where NPCs move with purpose, and activities and events happen naturally.
Fixes and Optimization
Among the technical improvements:
- Fixed UI issues with objects that were moving abnormally.
- Zois engaged in long interactions will no longer be interrupted when invited to a group.
- Categories will be added to the relationships panel to avoid scrolling through an endless list of all acquaintances.
The August update promises to be substantial: a vacation system, vehicle mods, family portraits, and numerous fixes. The developers also promised improvements to dialogue and autonomous behavior systems in an upcoming hotfix.
