Starting June 11, 2026, a six‑week Free Maker Drops promotion kicked off in The Sims 4 Marketplace. Every week until mid‑July, participating creators will release free sets featuring one or two items – for both Build/Buy and Create a Sim. The first drops include a two‑item loveseat and sofa set by Taurus and velvet bow heels by Miiko. Here’s how the event works, what you can already claim, and what to keep in mind.

What Are Free Maker Drops?

Free Maker Drops are a limited‑time pilot program where participating Makers release free content. Each creator contributes one or two items, which are quality‑tested by The Sims Team and translated into 18 languages. The promotion runs from June 11 through July 16, 2026, but each individual drop will only be available for four weeks after its release – the final day to claim anything is August 13

Free Maker Drops Release Schedule

  • First set will be available from June 11 to July 9
    • Second set from June 18 to July 18
      • Third set from June 25 to July 23
        • Fourth set from July 2 to July 30
          • Fifth set from July 9 to August 6
            • Sixth set from July 16 to August 13

              What Can You Already Claim?

              Velvet Bow Heels by Miiko

A Create a Sim item available only for feminine frames. These elegant velvet bow heels are a perfect addition for evening wear or formal events.

Sit Next to Me by Taurus

A Build/Buy set consisting of two items – a loveseat and a sofa. Both pieces allow Sims to sit side by side, hence the name. Ideal for creating cozy seating areas in living rooms.

Both drops are available to claim for free until July 9, 2026.

How to Claim Free Maker Drops

The process is simple and intuitive:

              1. Launch The Sims 4.
                1. Head into the Marketplace from the Main Menu, Live Mode, Build Mode, or Create a Sim.
                  1. Find Free Maker Drops on the Discover page under the Free section. You can also find them on the Browse page by sorting by Free.
                    1. Select the Free Maker Drop you want to claim.
                      1. You may see a Buy with Moola button with a price of 0 Moola. Select it, then confirm by selecting Buy.
                        1. If you have auto‑downloads turned off, you may see a Download Now button after confirming your claim. Select it right away, or return to the item page and select Download. If auto‑downloads are turned on, your drop will download automatically and appear as owned.
                          1. Return to the Main Menu before launching back into your game – your new Free Maker Drop will then be ready to use.

New Free Maker Drops will be released every Thursday. The promotion will include content from creators such as Serenity, Syboulette, Miiko, SixamCC, Taurus, ValiaSims, AlexCroft, HYDRA, BrazenLotus, Peacemaker, HAENBI, and Boschiana.

                            Should You Hurry?

Yes, you should. Each free drop is only available for four weeks. While that’s a fairly long window, once a drop expires it won’t come back. It’s best to claim the content as it’s released rather than putting it off until the last minute.

                            What About Permanent Free Content?

In addition to the temporary Free Maker Drops, the Marketplace also has permanent free offers. For example, when the Marketplace launched on consoles, players could claim the Country Kitchen Kit for free. Furthermore, creators often release free mods and CC on sites like CurseForge and Patreon.

Free Maker Drops are a great opportunity to add high‑quality items from well‑known creators to your collection without spending a single Moola. The promotion runs through mid‑July, but each drop is only available for a limited time. It’s a good idea to check the Marketplace at least once a week so you don’t miss anything.
