Sims 4 June Update: Notification Overhaul, 70+ Fixes, and Streamlined Marketplace Purchases
On June 30, 2026, the long-awaited The Sims 4 quality-of-life update was released. Patch version 1.125.59.1030 (PC) / 1.125.59.1230 (Mac) / 2.35 (Console) addresses several important aspects of the game: from intrusive notifications and phone calls to Gallery performance and mod compatibility. The main goal is to make everyday gameplay more comfortable and less frustrating.
Notification and Phone Call Overhaul in The Sims 4
The most noticeable change in this patch is a complete overhaul of the notification system in Live Mode. Players have complained for years about endless call and message spam, and the developers have finally responded.
What's changed:
Festival notification settings. A new "Festival Notifications" section has been added to the Game Options menu, where you can choose which festivals you want to receive alerts about — separately for each pack.
Calls from friends only. Phone calls from other Sims now require at least a friendly relationship level. Calls asking for dating advice and other "Neighborhood Stories" will no longer bother your Sims if they aren't close enough with the caller.
The "Silence Phone" button now works. It properly blocks all incoming calls.
Less spam. Repetitive calls about new friends and enemies have been removed, and the frequency of dance and bar night invitations has been reduced. Calls from Bess Sterling are now less frequent.
Freelancers no longer receive gig calls for careers they aren't in.
Sims who are on the lot no longer call to ask about your childhood (that was indeed strange).
Major Fixes
The patch includes over 70 general bug fixes that improve the gameplay experience across all platforms.
The most important ones:
Windows and doors now display correctly and remain properly aligned with walls across all graphics settings.
The Gallery: issues with thumbnails, endless loading, and soft locks when downloading custom tattoos have been fixed.
"Evil" Dynasties: Sims with the "Vicious Dynasty Ideal" will no longer autonomously perform mean social interactions, but will still receive Prestige Points when the player manually performs such actions.
Children are no longer automatically added to Dynasties, and the repeated "Joined Dynasty" notification when entering or exiting CAS has been fixed.
Fixed issues with duplicated Sims.
Improved quality of various base game assets.
Pack‑Specific Fixes
The update also addresses bugs in various packs:
Get to Work: Doctors can once again interact with patients and use the "Deliver Food" interaction.
Cats & Dogs: Fixed issues preventing Sims from adopting Cats and Dogs, performing the "Feel the Love" interaction on a cat or small dog, and bathing small Dogs.
Get Famous: Sims are once again able to complete the "Hair and Makeup" task on an Actor Career gig.
Get Together: Removed repetitive calls about friends and enemies, reduced the frequency of dance and bar night invitations.
Eco Lifestyle: Calls from Bess Sterling now occur less frequently and appear later.
High School Years: Removed the "Come check out ThrifTea!" notification reminder.
Mac: Infinite Load Fix
For Mac users, this update is especially important. As part of the ongoing investigation into Save Corruption, scratch files have been moved from Documents to AppData to prevent conflicts with cloud backup services. Following the same change for PC in March, developers observed a decrease in Infinite Load occurrences, and now Mac users are receiving the same improvement.
Streamlined Marketplace Purchases
In addition to fixes, the update also brought important changes to the Marketplace. EA introduced a "Simplified Purchase Flow." Now, when purchasing a set in the Marketplace, the game automatically buys and activates the nearest Moola bundle.
New Moola purchase options have been added: 300, 400, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1,100, 1,200, and 1,300. This means most paid sets now have a direct Moola equivalent that can be paid for directly without leftover currency.
This feature is currently available for PC and Xbox players; PlayStation will receive it in a future update.
Mod Updates
As with any major The Sims 4 update, this patch affects key game systems, including autonomy and CAS. This may cause some mods to stop working or generate errors. We've already covered how to get through a game update without losing your saves and characters.
Developers recommend:
- Disabling mods before installing the update and waiting for updates from creators.
- Backing up your saves and Mods folder.

Other main menu replacers by other authors are also broken. UI Cheats by Weerbesu is also on this list.
Known Issues After the Update
As often happens with major patches, some players have already reported issues that arose after installing the update.
Main complaints:
Gallery issues on consoles. Despite fixes, some users on PlayStation and Xbox report that the Gallery is still experiencing issues. Developers continue to work on this problem.
One player complained about a broken roof on their house after the update, and it seems others in the comments have had the same issue.
Developers encourage reporting any new bugs on the official EA forums so they can respond promptly. We'll keep monitoring the situation.
The June update is an important step in improving the gameplay experience. The notification and call overhaul makes the game less intrusive, and over 70 fixes address long‑standing annoying bugs. The streamlined Marketplace purchases and Mac scratch file relocation are additional welcome bonuses.
As with any major update, this patch requires attention to mods and may introduce new minor issues. But overall, it continues the trend of recent months, with developers actively working on stability and responsiveness.
