Sims 4 Free January Update: Coach Collaboration, 63 Swatches, New Household
The developers have shared that today, January 13, 2026, a free update for the base game will be released. There's no information yet on which bugs they'll fix, but we do know about the new content we'll be getting with this update.
The Sims and Coach Collaboration
The Sims team has announced a partnership with handbag brand Coach. The Coach Collection contains 9 new items, as well as 63 color variations, and will be available in The Sims 4 for free starting January 13, 2026.
Here's what will be available to everyone in the base game:
— Try on styles inspired by Coach masterpieces in Create a Sim, such as Soho sneakers, jackets, and stylish skirts.
— Add the finishing touches to any room in Build Mode with iconic Coach accessories — from a vintage suitcase to Tabby and Brooklyn bags.
— A new household in the Gallery — Coach House. Three friends bringing grand dreams to life with style and a touch of drama.
This collaboration is meant to celebrate the shared values of Coach and The Sims — creativity, individuality, inclusivity, and the spirit of play.

The "In the Bag" room will help you show off your stylish outfits, where aesthetics blend with Simlish magic. This room, available for download in The Sims 4 Gallery, is designed to showcase Coach bags and luggage in all their glory and give "coaches" a space to bring their vision of style to life.

What we know about the new characters:
— Johnny Bagg (he/him) — a gifted musician who frequently hits the gym so his wardrobe always fits his perfectionist standards. Johnny loves K-pop and hip-hop, but plays something pop in his presence — and his inner snob will immediately rear its head.
— Brook Lynne (they/them) — works in fast food and finds satisfaction in any instrument and any video game. Possesses a magnetism that combines flirtation and loyalty, with a sadness seeping through, caused by a lack of love.
— Selena Chivvay (she/her) — confident, smart, and polished Selena is a hopeless romantic searching for "the one." This freelance artist always has time for food, video games, and mischief.
