InZOI March 26 Update: Mini-Map, Multitasking, Courier Career & Holidays
This month, InZOI's early access will celebrate its first anniversary — the game was released on March 28, 2025. Ahead of this date, the developers at Krafton have shared their plans for a major update, which will be released on March 26. In this article, we'll take a look at all the new features personally announced by the game's producer, Kjun.
When Can We Expect the Update?
Exactly three weeks after the publication of the weekly developer update, on March 26, 2026, all PC owners of InZOI will gain access to the new patch. This update will be the culmination of the work done since the beginning of the year, and according to Kjun, the team has managed to implement even more than originally planned. The developers shared their progress in a video on a dedicated YouTube channel.
What's New in the Game?
The developers continue to improve the core mechanics while simultaneously adding new content. Here are the main changes confirmed for the March update.
Mini-map
One of the most requested features will finally appear in the game. It will significantly simplify navigation through the cities of Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya, allowing players to orient themselves more quickly.
Now players won't have to constantly open the full city map to find their bearings — the mini-map will allow for faster navigation and make it easier to find desired locations.
Multitasking
Zois will learn to do multiple things at once. The developers are currently actively working on enabling characters to freely walk around while, for example, eating soup or reading a book on the go.
This is a fundamental change that will make character behavior more natural and true-to-life.
New Freelance Career: Courier
A completely new career will be added to the game for those looking to diversify their characters' daily lives. Zois will be able to take orders from clients and make deliveries around the world.
Gardening Update
Special attention in the March update is being given to the floristry system. This week, the developers showed significant progress in this area:
- Seed Purchasing — characters will be able to buy flower seeds at specialized shops;
- Growing on Fertile Soil — flowers will require special plots with fertile soil to grow;
- Bouquet Creation — Zois will be able to arrange compositions using the flowers they've grown;
- Gift Giving — finished flower bouquets can be given to other characters, which will impact their relationships.
In his address, Kjun particularly emphasized the importance of this feature, sharing a photo of a small dried bouquet from his desk. According to him, adding scents to flowers is also in development.
Memory System
A system is in development that will record significant and traumatic events in a character's life, influencing their future behavior and personality. This is part of the larger plans to deepen the life simulation, which were announced in the December 2026 roadmap.
Festive Atmosphere
An interactive piñata will be added to the game, which can be broken at parties to get candy. There will also be an option to set recurring holidays that will appear in the calendar as time progresses.
New Phone Features
Zois' smartphones will become much more functional. Currently, the phone offers apps for scheduling, city maps, car purchasing, the Pocket Market, events, school, and career. The March update will add:
Contact Management: Zois will be able to add and delete phone numbers.
Initiating Friendly Conversations: Characters will be able to strike up friendships with strangers by asking for their phone numbers.
Contact Blocking: If you've had several negative interactions with someone, that character may block you. However, you can always ask them to unblock you when meeting them in person.
New Items and Assets
The update will introduce a variety of new objects:
Bento Boxes. Japanese lunch sets that can be used for eating on the go.
Car Seats and Booster Seats for Children. An important safety feature for young passengers.
New Construction Sites. Buildings under construction will appear in cities, adding more realism to the Zois' surroundings.
Clothing Customization
The game's designers have expanded the possibilities for personalization:
Color Customization for Dresses — many formal outfits can now be recolored to give them a more "casual" look.
Men's Swim Trunks for Other Outfits — they can now be combined with other clothing, opening up more possibilities for creating unique looks.
Interface and Quality of Life Improvements
Tooltips — pop-up hints will be added to help new players better understand the game mechanics.
Graphics Optimization for Low Settings — the appearance of items has been improved when playing with reduced graphics settings.
New Cheat for Screenshots — the hidefx [true/false] command allows you to remove all special effects from the screen to capture the perfect shot.
Automatic Interruptions
A system of automatic interruptions has been added to create a better "flow" in gameplay. Now, Zois will interrupt animations and interactions if they have an urgent need that requires immediate attention. This will make character behavior more realistic and prevent foolish deaths from ignoring basic needs.
Children and Cars
A cute detail: children will now be able to take selfies with cars.
Anniversary and a Special Message from Kjun
Ahead of the March update and the game's anniversary, producer Kjun published a heartfelt message to the community. He shared a personal photo from his desk, featuring a small bouquet, as a symbolic way of thanking players:
"To everyone who has waited so patiently for inZOI, despite all its shortcomings, and who continues to follow and support us, I want to sincerely thank you. It makes me wish I could personally hand each of you one of these bouquets."
Kjun also warned that after the update is released, it may become more difficult for him to share details as frequently and thoroughly as he does now, and asked fans to understand this.
What Else is in Development?
Parallel to work on the March patch, Krafton is making progress on several key fronts:
Modding Tools (ModKit). In March, the CAZ Wizard is expected to expand to support accessories, animations, and face mods, along with improvements to the Sound Wizard. The game will also gain the ability to install graphical resource mods directly during gameplay.
Multiplayer (inZOI-online). This month, developers plan to allow players to furnish their homes and save them to their accounts, as well as invite other users to play together in these homes.
CanvasTown and Fate Engine.The integration of CanvasTown and the Fate Engine into a unified system is scheduled for March, which will enable players to save and share significant in-game moments.
The update looks incredibly rich, touching on both surface-level and deep gameplay mechanics. The InZOI developers continue to demonstrate an openness and responsiveness to community feedback that is rare in the industry. The first anniversary of early access promises to be a major milestone on the road to the full release. Stay tuned to make sure you don't miss the exact release time of the patch on March 26.
