The InZOI developers continue to delight with weekly video reports. In the latest message from Kjun, published on June 5, 2026, he spoke not only about polishing the appearance of infants and the genetics system, but also about important strategic changes. The team is rethinking priorities: instead of chasing new features, Krafton is shifting toward creating a truly living, interconnected world, and for this purpose they are reorganizing the internal structure of the development team.

Full Message from Kjun

"Hello everyone,

We're back with another development update video for this week.

This week, we continued work on improving baby appearances based on the feedback many of you have shared. We've refined various aspects to make babies look cuter and more natural, and we're also developing new hairstyles.

In addition, we're addressing a variety of issues based on your feedback. While reviewing the genetics system, we identified several areas that needed improvement and have been working to refine them. Due to some structural limitations within inZOI, it is difficult to say that the system is perfect yet, but we are continuously making improvements to achieve more natural and believable results.

Recently, however, our focus has shifted toward increasing the depth and overall quality of the game world rather than simply adding new features. We are continuously improving the connections between character behaviors, relationships, daily routines, and various simulation systems so that the world feels more cohesive and truly alive.

To further support this direction, we have also reorganized parts of our development team. Going forward, we plan to dedicate more resources not only to creating new features but also to deepening existing systems and enhancing immersion. Starting next week, we expect our newly structured teams to help us build a more polished, stable, and complete version of inZOI.

We will continue listening closely to your feedback and working hard to make inZOI a better game.

We hope you enjoy this week's video, and as always, thank you for your continued support and encouragement.

With love, kjun"

New Outfits for Babies

In his video overview, Kjun showed fresh clothing and accessory options for the youngest residents of InZOI. New bonnets, pacifiers, socks, gloves, and even hair accessories will now appear in the game.

All these details are intended not only to diversify the wardrobe, but to make the process of caring for a child warmer and more touching. The developers strive to ensure that every piece of clothing brings a smile to the player's face and a desire to spend more time with the little ones, rather than rejection due to unnatural models.

Infants Are Becoming Cuter and More Natural

One of the main topics of the update is the improvement of infant appearances. Kjun confirmed that the team continues active work based on numerous community responses.

Artists and animators are refining models to make babies look sweeter and more alive. Facial proportions, blinking and smiling animations, and skin texture detail have been improved.

This is not just cosmetic tweaking — the developers want every new baby to evoke genuine sympathy from the player.

Gameplay and Animation Improvements

One of the most noticeable innovations will be the feeding animation in the high chair. A new dish is being developed for infants that they can eat on their own. This will add realism and allow players to watch as a toddler learns the first skills of independence.

In addition, the developers have turned their attention to hair salons. Special hairstyles will now appear there that will not change the character's unique hair color after a haircut. If your Zoi had a rare shade, it will remain regardless of the chosen hairstyle — a small detail that will delight customization lovers.

New Unique Items

Along with improving the hair salon, the game will add hairstyles that will be available only in salons. This means you cannot get them through a simple image change in the character editor — you will have to take your Zoi to a professional.

This approach makes the hairdresser mechanic special and sets your character apart from others.

A similar logic applies to clothing stores: unique clothing and shoe items will appear that can only be bought at retail outlets.

This encourages exploring the city and using different establishments rather than relying solely on Create‑a‑Zoi.

Mannequins and Smart Outfit Switching

For clothing stores, the developers added the ability to place mannequins with random outfits. When a Zoi performs the action of updating a display window, the game automatically generates random outfits. This will make retail outlets more lively and varied.

Additionally, the automatic outfit switching system has been improved. If a character has several options in a certain category (for example, "everyday clothing"), when changing clothes the game will randomly choose one of the existing outfits. This adds naturalness — your Zoi won't wear the same thing every day.

New Clothing Customization Options in Create‑a‑Zoi

The developers are working on a feature that will allow players to upload their own stickers for decorating clothing.

The process is simple: just upload a PNG image into the game, and it will automatically be converted into a sticker that can be placed on any clothing item. This opens up limitless possibilities for creating unique outfits — from T‑shirts with logos of fictional bands to dresses with custom prints.

Improved Toes in Socks and Tights

Attention to detail extends to even the smallest things. The developers have revised the visual display of feet in socks and tights.

Previously, individual toes were visible even in thick socks or tights, which looked unnatural. Now the silhouette will be uniform and more realistic — a small detail that makes the overall picture cleaner.

Bug Fixes: Genetics Revisited

Another area being refined based on community requests is the trait inheritance system. During an audit of the current genetics version, weak spots were found, and the team is now working to fix them. Kjun honestly admits that architectural limitations of the engine and the game itself make it difficult to say the system is perfect yet. However, work is ongoing, and with each update the results become more natural and believable.

New Goal: A Living and Interconnected World

The most important message of the address concerns a shift in priorities. Kjun stated that recently the development focus has shifted from simply adding new features to deepening connections within the game world.

Instead of endlessly listing new features, the team is now working to ensure that Zoi behavior, their daily routines, interpersonal relationships, and economic simulation feel like a single, connected organism. The developers want the world not only to live on a schedule, but to react to the player's actions and create the illusion of real life.

Team Reorganization: More Resources for Quality

To achieve these goals, Kjun announced the reorganization of some departments of the studio. Next week will mark the start of a renewed structure that will allow more resources to be allocated not only to creating new possibilities, but also to deepening existing systems.

This means that upcoming updates may become less "loud" in terms of announcements, but of higher quality: the developers intend to actively focus on polishing, improving stability, and completing already implemented mechanics, bringing InZOI closer to a full release.

Kjun's message paints a picture of the project maturing. InZOI is gradually moving from the "add everything that comes to mind" stage to the phase of refinement and creating a deep simulation. While other projects chase the quantity of features, Krafton is betting on what ultimately matters more for a life simulator — the realism and interconnection of all its elements.
