InZOI Prepares June Update: PC Streaming, DualSense Features, Cause-and-Effect, and Ragdoll Physics
Following the major April patch, the InZOI team has announced the next update — arriving in June 2026. The developers are focusing on "foundational systems": not massive features, but core mechanics that will later expand gameplay. Highlights include streaming video from your local PC, adapting the ring menu, exclusive PlayStation 5 DualSense controller features, and expanded interaction systems (spilled water, broken electronics, ragdoll physics, and more).
Krafton continues its monthly updates for InZOI while actively listening to the community. Previously, we covered the April patch featuring Unreal Engine 5.6 and new careers, as well as the full 1.0 release planned for early 2027.
When Is the Update Coming?
The next major patch is scheduled for June 2026. The developers emphasize that most of the new features are "foundational" — they will appear in basic form in June and will be expanded upon in future updates.
Streaming from Your PC: Local Videos, Music, and Settings
One of the most interesting features is the ability to stream video directly from local files on your computer. Players will be able to play back video files stored on their hard drive on in-game screens.
Limitation: Due to licensing and legal issues, direct streaming of content from media companies (Netflix, YouTube, Twitch) will not be possible — only your own files.
Users will be able to adjust:
- аaudio tracks;
- video and audio playback speed;
- the viewing angle.
This system is also planned for playing music from your PC. You'll be able to play your own tracks through in-game speakers — another step toward complete soundtrack customization.
Ring Menu – Coming to PC as Well
Originally, the ring menu was developed for the console version of InZOI to simplify controller gameplay. Now it's being adapted for PC as well. Players will be able to customize its contents and choose which actions appear first.
Exclusive DualSense Features
PlayStation 5 owners will get several unique mechanics that take advantage of the controller's capabilities.
Blowing out candles. A birthday celebration mini-game: you'll blow into the controller's microphone to extinguish cake candles. A small but highly atmospheric detail.
Fishing. A fishing mini-game is in development, where the DualSense will simulate the tension of the fishing line and the fish's tugging.
Both features are still in development and may not appear in the very first June build but rather in subsequent updates.
Cause and Effect: Spilled Water, Electric Shocks, and Culinary Accidents
The developers are adding more connections between actions and consequences.
Examples from Kjun's development diary:
If you spill water on the floor and another Zoi steps in the puddle, they will slip.
If you spill water on a computer while a friend is using or repairing it, they may get electrocuted.
You can also break a computer by hitting it with a frying pan.
These mechanics may seem simple now, but they are the building blocks for future complex systems like crafting, repairing, and even mischievous pranks.
Ragdoll Physics: Falling off Roofs and Colliding with Walls
The ragdoll system will become more sensitive, reactive, and dramatic. Zois will now be able to:
Fall off platforms and roofs;
Bounce off walls and furniture upon impact.
This will significantly enhance the spectacle of accidents and make the game world more unpredictable.
Look‑at System
The developers are expanding the "look‑at" system: Zois will now follow the mouse cursor in Create‑a‑Zoi mode. This should create a stronger sense of a living character and make appearance customization more interactive.
Additionally, this system will help implement walking while holding hands: when Zois walk together as a pair, their gazes will be directed toward each other, adding naturalness to romantic scenes. This is a basic mechanic for now, but it could be enhanced with different hand‑holding styles in the future.
Official Message from Kjun
At the end of the weekly developer diary, InZOI producer and director Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim apologized for the delayed upload and addressed the community.
"Sorry everyone for the late upload.
As soon as the video was finished, we found out an API error occurred on Discord, but luckily it didn't last too long, so I'm uploading it now.
Though the Brainstorm topic for this week is well explained throughout the video, I want to ask again through text to have you all share how you would utilize some of these fundamental features from the video. Looking forward to all of your wonderful ideas.
I hope everyone has a joyous weekend.
— Kjun"
The June update will differ from previous ones. Instead of adding a dozen new careers or global systems, the developers are laying the groundwork for future improvements. This means that many of the listed features may evolve logically in the coming months.
