Every Life Stage Challenge

The Every Life Stage Challenge by James Turner is a unique and structured legacy challenge where your goal is to have one Sim of every life stage within the same household. Starting with a single Young Adult, you'll progressively build a family by having each new Sim age up through every stage, all while completing specific tasks. The challenge demands careful planning, time management, and a bit of luck with the random spin wheels. Here's everything you need to know to start your own Every Life Stage Challenge.

Challenge Overview

Your challenge is to have one Sim of every age within the same household.

• You will start with a Young Adult, your Main Sim;
• All Sims in your household must age up at the same time, with the exception of your Main Sim, who ages up from the gold highlighted tasks. Gold tasks only need to be done once with your Main Sim;
• To start you will complete both tasks for the Newborn, then you may have a baby whichever way you like;
• To age up each Sim in the house, tasks for their next age must be completed (e.g., Child tasks to age a Toddler up);
• Every child in your household must complete all tasks for every age as they grow;
• You cannot age up anyone until all tasks for all current Sims in your household have been completed.

Setup & Basic Rules

Think of this like a mini 100 Baby Challenge. To start the challenge you will want to set up the following:

• Young Adult Sim, your Main Sim;
• Build or buy a house with the starting funds.

Throughout the challenge these rules must be followed:

• No cheats besides ones to fix bugs;
• You cannot change your aspiration;
• Turn aging off for your household;
• Spin the random wheels for each baby after they're born;
• No nannies, butlers or other Sims who can take care of children can be hired, employed or invited round. You may use maids, gardeners and other services Sims;
• If you have twins or triplets, the extra babies will have to live with their other parent unless you use a mod to increase your household size. If you decide to keep all babies, all of them have to do all the tasks.

Random Spin Wheels

In the Infant level tasks, you will spin the following wheels to determine a family activity, and three random things that your baby will like.

Once Per Round

Activity Wheel – Spin this once per round, even if you have twins or triplets. This will be an activity you have to do with the entire family. If you have to travel, newborns can stay at home.

Once Every Baby

Style Wheel – Determines the baby's style that they like, and their room or space will be designed with. These are filters in build mode you can select.

Colour Wheel – The baby's favourite colour. Use this as a primary colour to style their clothes, room, furniture, etc.

Hobby Wheel – This will be your baby's hobby skill. Your Main Sim will have to learn this skill in the Toddler stage.

Age Tasks

Note: Gold-highlighted tasks (Newborn, Adult) are only done once by the Main Sim.

Challenge Walkthrough

Round 1

Current Household: Main Sim only

• Complete the tasks in the Newborn section with your Main Sim;
• Once the baby is born, you're ready for the next round.

Round 2

Current Household: Newborn + Main Sim

• Main Sim: Completes Infant and Newborn tasks;
• Sim 1 (Newborn): Completes Infant tasks;
• Complete the family activity from the wheel.

Once all tasks are complete and a new baby is born, age up Sim 1

Round 3

Current Household: Newborn, Infant, Main Sim

• Main Sim: Newborn, Infant, Toddler tasks;
• Sim 1 (Infant): Toddler tasks;
• Sim 2 (Newborn): Infant tasks;
• Complete the family activity from the wheel.

Once all tasks are complete and a new baby is born, age up Sim 1 and Sim 2.

Round 4

Current Household: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Main Sim

• Main Sim: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child tasks;
• Sim 1 (Toddler): Child tasks;
• Sim 2 (Infant): Toddler tasks;
• Sim 3 (Newborn): Infant tasks;
• Complete the family activity from the wheel.

Once all tasks are complete and a new baby is born, age up Sim 1, Sim 2, and Sim 3.

Round 5

Current Household: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Main Sim

• Main Sim: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Teen (to age up);
• Sim 1 (Child): Teen tasks;
• Sim 2 (Toddler): Child tasks;
• Sim 3 (Infant): Toddler tasks;
• Sim 4 (Newborn): Infant tasks;
• Complete the family activity from the wheel.

Once all tasks are complete and a new baby is born, age up Sim 1, Sim 2, Sim 3, and Sim 4. Your Main Sim becomes an Adult.

Round 6

Current Household: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Teen, Main Sim (Adult)

• Main Sim: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child tasks;
• Sim 1 (Teen): Young Adult tasks;
• Sim 2 (Child): Teen tasks;
• Sim 3 (Toddler): Child tasks;
• Sim 4 (Infant): Toddler tasks;
• Sim 5 (Newborn): Infant tasks;
• Complete the family activity from the wheel.

Once all tasks are complete and a new baby is born, age up Sim 1, Sim 2, Sim 3, Sim 4, and Sim 5.

Round 7

Current Household: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Main Sim

• Main Sim: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Adult (to age up);
• Sim 1 (Young Adult): Adult tasks (to have the final baby);
• Sim 2 (Teen): Young Adult tasks;
• Sim 3 (Child): Teen tasks;
• Sim 4 (Toddler): Child tasks;
• Sim 5 (Infant): Toddler tasks;
• Sim 6 (Newborn): Infant tasks;
• Complete the family activity from the wheel.

Once all tasks are complete and Sim 1 has had the new baby, age up Sim 1, Sim 2, Sim 3, Sim 4, Sim 5, and Sim 6. Your Main Sim becomes an Elder.

Round 8

Current Household: Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, Main Sim (Elder)

• Main Sim: Completes Elder tasks.

That's it! Optionally, feel free to do all tasks for the ages or enjoy the family reunion and call it a day!
