Main causes of broken faces, bodies and other bugs in Sims
This article will present a comprehensive list of custom content , which may lead to the appearance of holes in the torso and face, floating tongues, and black eggplants on sims. Additionally, the reasons for these issues are collected. Let's start with the latter.
Reason #1: Issues immediately after updating the game.
Always update your mods along with the game update. Remove old mods and install new ones.
Reason #2: If the problem started after installing mods, check each mod using the 50/50 method until the issue disappears or manifests itself. As a precaution, make backups of your game folder.
Reason #3: Holes in the upper half of sims' bodies are a result of breast sliders. Remove or update them.
Reason #4: Disappearance of body parts is resolved only by finding and removing defective CC clothing.
Reason #5: After any interventions in the game, clean the cache by deleting the localthumbcache file.
Reason #6: Characters' facial features disappeared in the save file.
Do not save or exit the game while in city mode with Wicked Whims installed. Solution: delete the folder with the same name as the mod from the saves folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves). All settings will need to be reinstalled.
Reason #7: The problem persists.
This indicates that the issue might be due to outdated sliders. Keep an eye on updates for your slides directly from the blogs of their authors (for example, MagicBot occasionally updates them, so prioritize downloading those if you have them). Additionally, you may find unnecessary duplicates with various designations (for example, D1 or D2) in your folder, therefore, it's worth replacing the sliders with the originals.
Reason #8: Black Eggplants
Their appearance is also caused by custom skin tones, likely when using the "Color Sliders in CAS" mod or other broken skins. The list of broken CC will be provided below.

Issue of tongue detaching from face during poses and error warnings appearing:

For poses, only the file is required as an accessory redheadsims-ts4-auTongueN001_v1.
Files for rigs and animated hairstyles/wings for CAS should not be located in the mods folder, as they break in-game animations and trigger error warnings.
