Sylvan Glade

What you'll need: Base Game

Location: Willow Creek, Crick Cabana

This is a magical secret location hidden in the very heart of Willow Creek. This place is a true paradise corner of nature, shrouded in eternal twilight.

How to get there:

To open the portal, head to the Crick Cabana lot. There you'll find a special tree – the Sylvan Tree. You need to perform a series of interactions with this tree in a strictly defined order: Water the tree, Compliment Leaves, and Talk.

After performing these actions, a magical portal will appear. When you enter it, a text adventure will launch – a small interactive story with choices. To successfully reach the location, you need to complete this adventure by choosing the correct answer options in a specific sequence:

1. Follow the Sound

2. Follow Downstream

3. Enter the Mist

4. Travel to Glade

What you'll find here:

— Numerous harvestable plants – a great place to expand your collection

— Logs where you can search for frogs for your collection

— A picturesque pond with the unique Treefish

Thanks to the eternal twilight, this place is absolutely safe for vampire sims, who can visit it without risk of getting sunburned.

Forgotten Grotto

What you'll need: Base Game

Location: Oasis Springs, in the town park or behind the Landgraab mansion (Affluista Mansion)

This is a mysterious cave system hidden in the arid lands of Oasis Springs. The place is full of treasures and rare finds.

How to get there:

The entrance to Forgotten Grotto is an abandoned mine entrance that can be found in Desert Bloom Park or behind Affluista Mansion. However, simply finding the entrance isn't enough: to get inside, your Sim must possess certain skills. Handiness skill level 10 is required for your Sim to be able to break open the entrance and unlock passage to the grotto.

Like with Sylvan Glade, when entering the location, a text adventure launches that you need to complete correctly:

1. Take Wide Path

2. Climb Ladder

3. Step onto the Ledge

4. Travel to Grotto

What you'll find here:

— Numerous rocks and dig sites containing Fossils, Metals, Crystals, and Elements

— The unique Batfish

Hermit's House

What you'll need: Outdoor Retreat Game Pack

Location: Granite Falls forest

This is a secluded place in the forests of Granite Falls, where a mysterious hermit character lives.

1. Step Forward

Sixam

What you'll need: Get to Work Expansion Pack

Location: Space, another planet

This isn't just a hidden location, it's an entire planet! One of the most fantastical and exotic places in the whole game. The location's name is the name of the company Maxis written backwards. The planet captivates with its landscape: purple sky, unusual vegetation, eternal night reigns here with countless stars across the firmament.

How to get there:

There are two main ways to reach Sixam.

Method 1: Through the Scientist career

You need to reach level 10 in the career, build a Wormhole Generator and upgrade it. Use it to travel to Sixam.

Method 2: Using a Rocket Ship

Build a Rocket Ship, upgrade it with a Wormhole Generator, and embark on a space journey to Sixam.

What you'll find here:

— Aliens inhabit the planet, you can interact with them, make friends, and even develop romantic relationships

— Unique plants, crystals, and metals. Three types of otherworldly flora that can be harvested and planted in your garden on Earth

— A collection of Geodes consisting of six items, exclusive to the planet

The Magic Realm

What you'll need: Realm of Magic Game Pack

Location: Portal in Glimmerbrook

This is a mystical dimension where spellcasters dwell and ancient magical knowledge is stored. Since the Magic Realm exists in a void located beyond normal dimensions, there are no seasons or weather here, time flows differently here, creating a sense of eternity and a frozen moment. The location's atmosphere is infused with magic: shimmering lights, levitating objects.

How to get there:

Method 1: Through the portal

Travel to the town of Glimmerbrook and find the glowing portal at the edge of town.

Method 2: Using the Glimmerstone (spellcasters only)

Spellcaster Sims receive a special item called the Glimmerstone, which is located in their inventory. With it, you can teleport to the Magic Realm from anywhere at any time.

What you'll find here:

— Floating islands connected by magical portals (Casters Alley, Dueling Grounds, and Gardens)

— Three Sages – powerful spellcasters, each representing one of the schools of magic (Practical, Mischief, Untamed)

— Magical books, potions, alchemy ingredients, and magical duels

How to get to the jungle

The entrance is located at the Belomisia Trailhead lot – look for an archway covered in ivy and vines. Clear the path by hand or with a machete (faster, no negative effects, but may break).

After clearing, chance cards will appear with action options:

— Safe – no risk, but no reward

After the first passage, the archway remains open for the entire family for the whole vacation.

Mt. Komorebi Peak

What you'll need: Snowy Escape Expansion Pack

Location: Yukimatsu neighborhood

The peak offers incredible panoramic views of snow-covered mountains and valleys below. The feeling of achievement and triumph when your Sim finally reaches this place after a difficult climb makes this moment especially meaningful. An atmosphere of tranquility and nature's grandeur reigns here.

How to Organize an Expedition

Use your phone and select "Plan a Social Event" → "Mountain Climbing Expedition". Maximum group size – four characters from teen to elder. You need to assign a tour guide and at least one group member.

Expedition Preparation:

— Buy canned food or make energy bars

— Take a tent for several people

— Make sure everyone has Rock Climbing skill developed enough: for medium walls you need at least level 3, for tall walls – level 6. For gold completion, level 9 is needed for one character

— Buy climbing gear through the computer

— Use special interactions: "Do Pre-Climb Stretching" (from level 3)

— Watch the weather – blizzards and icy crust can lead to injuries and even death

Expedition Stages

The expedition is divided into four stages. At each stage, you need to complete tasks to move to the next one. The main goal – gather all participants at the wooden hiking trail marker at the end of the route. To continue, you must earn at least silver.

Stage 1 – Preparation

Starts at the onsen bathhouse. Get to the first climbing point by ski lift – the rock will be slightly to the left of the exit.

Tasks:

— Check the preparation level of the leader and participants

— Perform warm-up exercises

— Climb a medium-height rock (requires level 3 Rock Climbing)

Stage 2 – Base Camp

At this stage you'll find a tent. You need to cross a bridge, climb a medium-height rock, and follow the trail to the marker.

Tasks:

— Examine the route condition

— Climb the rock

— Rest for at least an hour

Along the way, you may encounter a Kodama spirit and receive a blessing or curse.

Stage 3 – The Croft Icefall

The most difficult challenge – a tall rock that requires level 6 skill. Here you'll find edible plants and a campfire for rest.

Tasks:

— Eat (wild fruits or bars)

— Light a Bonfire

— Climb fearlessly (only from level 9 skill, one character is enough)

Cave at the icefall

If it's not covered with ice, you can:

— Explore the cave's curves

— Explore the main tunnel – encounter with forest spirits

— Examine climbers' traces – you can find a Rock Climbing textbook, rare MySims trophy, or receive various moodlets

— Drink from the spring and sleep to restore energy

Forest spirits often appear at the entrance, giving bonuses.

Stage 4 – Mountain Peak

At this stage you don't need to complete tasks – just climb to the summit. Here a 20x20 lot is available in build mode, which you can customize to your liking – a tent camp, cabin, or simply a flag at the peak.

Cave at the peak

Hidden to the left of the trail among rocks at the cliff. You can find:

— Lucky simoleon and collectible items

— Toys and rare MySims trophies

— Meet an old sage (increases skiing skills)
