EA has officially revealed the next major expansion for The Sims 4 – Adventure Awaits, launching on October 2, 2025. This pack invites players to step away from suburban life and explore Gibbi Point, a brand-new world filled with natural wonders, outdoor activities, and magical discoveries. What’s Inside the Expansion?

Gibbi Point and its neighborhoods

Wander through Wanderwood Wilds with its geysers and trails, dive into the sparkling Crystal Valley caves, or relax by the glowing waters of Jellyfish Junction.

Getaway Planner & Custom Getaways

Players will be able to use the new Getaway Planner to schedule trips away from home, selecting start date, duration, location, and activities. There are three themed Getaways ready at launch:

Camp Gibbi Gibbi – a kids’ sleepaway camp
Revive & Thrive – a fitness & relaxation retreat
Love Highland – romance + competition together

You can also build or download Custom Venues, decorate them, define roles (camp counselor, fitness instructor, etc.), and set specific rules for how a Getaway plays out.

Getaway rules to add variety

Three types of rules will be available to spice up your Getaways:

Elimination Rules – eliminates Sims based on skill or relationship progress.
Shuffle Rules – randomizes activities.
Modifier Rules – special conditions like “Love Is In the Air” (which boosts romance) or “Everyone Hates Each Other” (which makes social relationships harder).

Childhood Gameplay Enhancements

Formative Moments & Childhood Sentiments

Child Sims can have Formative Moments in four categories (Inquisitiveness, Social, Independence, and Adventure) that provide lifelong benefits. Completing challenges during childhood gives perks when Sims grow up.

Another new feature is Childhood Sentiments, where emotions or memories about people change over time: now your Sim can prank someone as a kid, then grow up and feel sorry about it.

New Games

Kids can play two classic games: Hide-and-Seek and Rock-Paper-Scissors. But beware of kids with the new Scrappy trait: they may be very competitive!

Bonus: Modular Playgrounds, which you can set up however you want, and a new childhood Aspiration, Cool Kid on the Block.

Imaginary Friends

There are four dolls with four different personalities: Goofball, Competitive, Creative, and Evil. They influence kids’ play preferences, offer emotional support, can have names, and even interact with Sims when they grow up.

Imaginary Friends can do things like swim, play Hide-and-Seek, play Rock-Paper-Scissors, and the evil ones can even teach your Sims how to start a fire.

New Activities, Skills & Career Paths

Both kids and adults get new ways to spend time: Papercraft, Entomology, Diving, and Archery. Be ready to raise butterflies from caterpillars and shoot apples off other Sims’ heads.

New Spin Bikes and Free Weights are available to help adult Sims improve the Fitness skill. Moreover, for those who love spending time in the water, there's kayaking, water slides, diving boards, and even a special aquatic Woo Hoo.

Besides these sports activities, Sims will have an opportunity to start a career in a national park. Park Worker is a 10-level career that divides into the Park Ranger and Camp Counselor career paths.
