When Will the New Laundry List for The Sims 4 Be Released?
The Sims 4 development team has published a fresh update to the Quality of Life Roadmap, confirming its commitment to more frequent and stable fixes.
The developers acknowledge the immense complexity of the game, stemming from years of updates and 2.4 quintillion (that’s $2,400,000,000,000,000,000!) possible combinations of Expansion Packs.
The team notes that if they spent just one second testing each combination, it would take over 77,000,000,000 years! All of this makes tracking down and fixing bugs a uniquely challenging task.

Is Update Consistency the Key to Success?
Since September, the team has shifted from large, infrequent patches to a steady, regular cadence of updates.
The first major update, released in November, brought more than 150 fixes for the most pressing issues. The next update, scheduled for December 2nd, will deliver more than 40 additional fixes for the most community-voted issues.
The detailed Laundry List will be published on November 25th, followed shortly by a Dev Q&A session. We will be sure to write about what made it onto the Laundry List and share the key takeaways from the Q&A with the developers!

Fighting Save Corruption
Developers have also given serious attention to issues related to save file corruption. Thanks to new internal tools and player-submitted saves, patterns have been identified, allowing the team to begin actively tackling these critical errors. The November update already fixed an issue causing an infinite loading loop when converting lots into Residential Rentals.
Fixes for a number of common Error Codes (109:x and 123:x) are expected in December, and active work is underway on Error 801 and the issue of data overflow. If you want to learn more about the technical details of the ongoing research into these issues, read our detailed analysis here.
