Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs Bug After The Sims 4 Update — How to Fix the Issue
We have important news regarding the recent major The Sims 4 update from December 2, 2025. It appears to have caused an annoying glitch affecting the much-loved Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs feature from the Lovestruck pack!
Bug description
In just a few days, over a hundred players have reported a critical disruption in the CAS mode. The core of the problem is simple and highly frustrating: the like and dislike icons have disappeared from the preference selection menu!
Source: EA Forums
Players, including console users and those who have never installed mods, have tried to fix the situation using standard methods (clearing cache, reinstallation) — but to no avail. The bug appears to be systemic.
Current Solution
The function itself still works. You can choose a Sim's preferences by blindly clicking on the spots where the icons should be. It's a "blind" choice, of course, but for now, it's the only way.
The Sims Developers are Working on a Fix
The Sims Team has confirmed the bug in their Discord channel. The problem has been noted, and they are already actively investigating it to include a fix in one of the upcoming patches:
"Sul Sul, Simmers. We’re aware of an issue in CAS showing the correct icons for Turn On/Turns Offs. We’re currently investigating a fix and will update this thread when we have more info."
So, we are waiting for the official patch! In the meantime, we'll be choosing our Sims' preferences at our own risk, navigating by the empty space.
