The Sims Resource's LookBuilder Gets a Fresh New Update
If you’ve used The Sims Resource’s LookBuilder lately, you might’ve noticed things are looking a little different – in the best way. Our latest update gives the whole tool a refresh, with a cleaner layout, smoother navigation, and a few new features that make trying on custom content feel even more fun.
The first thing you’ll spot is the new look: we’ve overhauled the interface so everything feels easier to find and a lot nicer to use. Whether you’re browsing hair, outfits, or accessories, it’s now much simpler to explore and put together your perfect look.
A new addition we’re really excited about is the My Current Look tab. It shows every item your Sim is wearing at once, with extra details like who created it and a direct link to download it. No more guessing where that perfect top came from - it’s all right there.
You can also now collapse the catalogue with a single click, which means you can finally see your Sim and their outfit in full without anything blocking the view. We’ve given the backgrounds a little polish too, so everything feels brighter, cleaner, and more put together.
Behind the scenes, we’ve fixed a few issues – like items disappearing when swapping between body types. Preview images are clearer now, too, and a bunch of small improvements should make the whole experience smoother overall.
LookBuilder is still in Early Access, which means we’re updating it constantly. Coming up next, we’re planning features like swatch selection, the introduction of more CC categories and a fix for the small texture issue where part of the underwear can show through some CC.
We’re just getting started with what LookBuilder can do, and this update is one big step toward making it the best way to style your Sims before you download a single thing.
